Welcome to the website of the Dominican Lay Group of St. John the Baptist Church in Tryon, North Carolina.
Applying the four pillars of the Order—study, prayer, community, and preaching—we learn to recognize what is true, good, and beautiful, and we fall in love with them. And then for a rare moment we catch a glimpse of what Solzhenitsyn calls, “that which passeth all understanding, a realm to which no man can ride or fly. And for which the soul begins to ache.”
